5 Tools to Help Improve Your Body Image

Body image is really just the image that we have of our bodies in our mind and just like those mirrors in a circus that can distort our appearance, our minds too can distort how we perceive our body so that we feel very down about ourselves. Here are some tools to help to boost your body image and as you use these tools it can help to remind yourself that:


💕Body image is just that - it’s only an image you have of yourself in your mind. It doesn’t necessarily represent reality or what other people see when they look at you.


💕We tend to focus on and obsess over our flaws but nobody else will look at us in this way. They will see us as a whole, including our energy, personality, smile etc.


💕Body image is very affected by your mood - on days you feel happy you may feel better about your body - of course nothing is really changing that much day to day with your body, it is just that your mood is affecting your thoughts and in turn how you feel about your body. This just goes to show that body image isn’t really about what we look like at all - it’s about the thoughts and emotions we have connected to our body at a particular moment in time.
